I wrote this for a friend who requested music for his animation entitled 'Sonnet 73'. This film of his, as well as many other of his great works are on newgrounds.
It is slow, and is meant to be so, as the music follows the feel of the Shakespearean text as it was animated.
The synthesis of the strings and the piano was the most challenging aspect of this composition. While the strings were acceptable with my synthesized Finale strings, the piano was dreadful, so I recorded that and played that on my own, then lined them up later. (You can hear parts where a lot of this 'splicing' was performed).
All in all, I had a great time making this piece and it was a fantastic experience.
Of course, criticism is highly appreciated and welcomed.
Score composed using a combination of Finale 2010 and Audacity.
