My most recent attempt at something more deadmau5-ish. I used some neat effects here, as well as a new plugin called Glitch. It's amazing, especially combined with a guitar.

Let's not forget here that I am still a novice at techno.

This actually sounds pretty nice, deadmau5-ish? Sounds pretty good to me anyways. Liking how it remains party styled and gives the feeling of just raving the night away while mixing in a bit of classical dancing to it at the same time so it works out really nice too I think.

The synth sounds pretty awesome and liked how it gave that blasting feel as if encouraging people to get up and dance and just have fun. The glitch sounds later are pretty sick, let me guess, gross beat? That's probably my favorite plug in I've found in FL Studio so far too, gives some greatly awesome sounds to whatever pattern you have it set for which is just awesome.

The synth has a classical yet dancing feel to it making it remain very happy. The drums sound like a really simple pattern of just a hi hat and a couple of kicks layered together which is pretty sick here. The bass line remains calm at the same time so wonderful work there.

Overall, really nice work here.

A strong blend, well tempered.

I feel that you've got this piece spot on, with the way that you've taken the initial melody of the synthesised keyboard / accordion. That can get a little repetitive, so that's cost you a little, but the addition of the counter and the beat really does help. This piece is certainly one that gets you tapping your feet as well as people like me thinking. I can see things like a simple light show being set to this, but not only that, there are so many other options, including racing games, though the pace may be a little slow for that, but it certainly makes a good backing tune.

If I'd have had my own way, then I would have put a bass solo in there, when you mess about with the beat, perhaps even the tempo, speed it up, play around with that and then come back down, handing over to the melody, as the bass falls back into step with everything else, restoring parity to the piece. Still, your idea of killing off the bass for a short moment in middle seemed to work as well. The only reason that my suggestion is there is perhaps to break the monotony of the melody, as it gets repetitive.

Hmmm you got 0bombed? 2.98 is a pretty low score, this track does deserve more!
Although I must say you failed your target of sounding like deadmau5, his tracks got quite a different style. Most of the time he's using a pluck playing a sick fast chord progression with slightly changes on the top notes to get in some melody. Then he plays with the effects (filter frequency, high/low pass filter etc).
The melody sounds good but it's very repetitive. Try adding some parts where you change the melody, maybe use another chord progression and you should be fine! :)
Also the drums are quite behind in the mixing, I can't hear the snare only a small bassdrum.
