Obviously this is late as fuck but I never really understood why I lost this battle. Are people just mad that they can't understand faster lyrics and since they don't want to put in the effort, they just say "wow he's really off beat"?

It's pretty fucking pathetic tbh. No matter how many times I've listened to this, I can only hear me bodying the fuck out of GasMasq. I suppose he had a bigger following than me at the time which is why he won, but pure skill he lost.

I suppose it's mostly just a misunderstanding. Some people would think I rap fast because I wanted to have an edge over an opponent, but the truth is that I just had THAT much to say so I figured I'd say it. If you honestly look at this battle, I don't see how anyone could come up with the conclusion that GasMasq won.

A LOT of my songs I've looked back on and gone "wow wtf was I thinking?!" and I have no trouble dissing earlier shit that I did. But I listened to this and I'm like "wow wtf was the CROWD thinking?!!" because most of my battles I didn't even try, this one I did, and he gets completely fucking rekt as a result.

Byron V1 - Mic diss is boring, gas mask diss is drawn out and decent at best, rookie schools the veteran is nice. Flow diss is kind of weak since Gas is probably the most charismatic MC on the site.

Gasmasq V1 - One battle win is nice, speak in more than pieces, XPorn diss is funny but not great.

Byron V2 - Porn flip is decent, born/porn is a weak rhyme though. Too slow is a lame diss, amateur diss is ironic. Lots of filler.

Gasmasq V2 - Doubletime diss is well-executed, people can understand is great, white guy diss, school me is an awesome flip. last lesson is a nice flip. Didn't understand the finisher.

Gas mops it up in his second verse. Byron goes hard but is too thick-headed to understand where he's going wrong.

I have nothing to say man.

This was a good battle for real. Sucks that the voting's closed. If I could vote though, I'd have to go with Byron because I think he had a bit better mic presence and he was at the disadvantage of going first, yet still went hard on it. Very close battle though imo.

By the way, I'm new here but I'll battle anybody up here for real- and I'm confident in my skills. I'm currently taking a short break from making my album to re-energize, so I figured I'd do a few battles to get that fire lit again. If anyone has some info to give me regarding getting a battle started hit me up, I'd appreciate it. Peace!
