I submitted a Funk song complete with lyrics for the 2012 January NAC. I thought it sounded well enough on its own, and this way it's more accessible to anyone who might want the style/sounds without the vocals.

Ain't it funky now?

Bring on the funk

This really reminds me..

of "Frits the Cat" somehow, very nice mood to it. like the loose style of it also. have you ever made ska?

Adam-Beilgard responds:

Frits the Cat, huh? Is that the trippy cartoon form the 70's? If so, I can dig it!

Never made ska...yet. Thanks for the review!

ehhh.. it reminds me of like 50s big band or something mixed with junk hahaha,, with the organ from the 60s..

really very eclectic

..yes let's go with eclectic haha.

7/10

Adam-Beilgard responds:

Eclectic, fine. Whatever. I'm over it.

That's actually pretty accurate. I'm a spaz with my writing unless I plan like crazy beforehand.

Thanks for the review!

I liked the use of brass in there. The bass lines and drum are cool but it wasn't super funky, almost reagea or something. I like the use of the "organ"

Adam-Beilgard responds:

Admittedly, I gotta expand my oeuvre to include funk. I'm glad you liked the brass - that was my favorite part (before mixing)

Thank you for the review!
