Beyond Cloudz (The Ephebe)

So, this is my first song completed in 2012 (idk if I released any this year, but if I did they were done in 2011).
It is also the 4th completed song in The RG Tales.
If you wish to collab on the remaining people in the tales (clockworker, astronomer, martyr, rogue, soothsayer, stranger, flagelent, and a few others), let me know. I'll see if your stuff is what I had in mind, and I'll send you the .flp file as well as the drums and synths used for what I have done so far. I'd love some support because I'm kinda starting to run out of ideas.

so yeah. Hope you enjoy this song. I started it earlier this week as a separate title, called Beyond Cloudz, But I decided to turn it into part of the tales. Ephebe is a word meaning a youth between 18 and 20 years old, and is an ancient Greek term.
I have an idea for a music video for this one as well. I'm thinking the premise is some guy (the Ephebe) is chasing after some girl, and this sort of plague of ice is following him, and he is trying to get with her and escape the ice. The girl never once turns to face him throughout his battle, and he finally becomes encased in ice reaching out to the girl, with a single tear falling from his eye.

Such a sick track. I actually just made this my ringtone on my phone. Thanks for the nice piece. Keep up the good work!

I feel special :)

Ok. I want to start out by saying that I dig this song. I do think that some parts of this song could use some work. To me the drop in's could use a bit more tweeking. Something like a bigger build to silence and then a heavy & massive drop. Maybe you could even add something in the mid ranges, not sure what exactly, but something. HaywireHaywire suggested guitar chords for this, but I am not sure how this would work. As I am one that have been listening to a lot of Dubstep and Drumstep for years, you're almost there with some of the best in the genre. So keep up the good work and keep it up. Maybe some day we will see you in magazine's and such.

Reali-tGlitch responds:

That'd be awesome. That's my dream, but the unrealistic one. Of course, being my own biggest critic, I feel so many other artists (on NG at least) are better than me. All the big ones. And yet I get up in their areas of scores and such, and I'm genuinely elated and surprised that I have a fanbase as big as I do here.

Another quality piece

Hey Man!

Ill make my comments chronologically correspond to this song, might make things easier. First off, i think adding some variety to the guitar sound could make a difference (for example, adding guitar chords not just notes, changing the level of the notes, etc)
Also, the drums could be mastered better to really punch through. The drop could work much better if you used some other elements to imply a build up towards the drop. And last but not least, dont be afraid to use silence in a song, it can add an element of surprise. Hope this review helps man, good luck with your productions in the future!

Reali-tGlitch responds:

While late for a reply, it's nice to be reviewed by one of the NG greats.
