EDIT: mp3 quality is shitty as I had to convert from wav to mp3.

EDIT 2: Updated the file. Just removed the first major part because it comes at the end, so now it loops better.

Edit 3: Managed to export with better quality

8-bit!
Just started using MilkyTracker and made this song today. I might add rythm to it later. Anyway, I'm 100% open for criticism! Please come with it!
Thought title fits this song because it starts in minor and switches to major in an elegant way where the melody just continues. What I think about is that you can turn something bad (i.e. a day) good :)

Unfinished

Ok, I liked the melodies in this. The instruments, however, I did not. I'm usually a fan of 8-bit, but I just don't think you mastered this one very well, so I'm not able to appreciate it as well.

The chirping instrument, was way too loud. So was the main instrument, but the chirping should've been a background type of deal, but it was trying to take over center stage. To be honest, I wouldn't have even added the chirping unless you were going to blend it in there, it just didn't blend very well and I think this short is better off without it so far.

Also, this is just a loop, you really need to expand upon this before I can call it a song. It leaves so much left to the ear, and that's always a bad thing in my opinion.

It did loop VERY well though.

Well it goes under Video Game loop. I used the basic chiptuning instruments - just regular square shapes and triangles etc. so I don't know what I could've changed there.
You're the second one saying I must lower the chirping, so I guess there must be something there. With my headphones it sounds balanced but I know how sounds can differ so much when you change sound output!
Thanks for the review! :)

Turns out to be pretty good

Starts off really slow. At first I thought "this is going to be the longest minute of my live if the song contiunes like this...), but after only 6 seconds I could hear the first vibrato in this song and I thought: "Oh, so there IS more to it!"

As it turns out, yes, there is A LOT more to this song than my very first impression. I really like the chirping effects and all those vibratos all over the place. They add a very comical effect to this 8-bit-track and they also make the song very enjoyable.

The twangy effect makes you think...

... of moonside.

But if you reduced the intensity of that background chirp, it'd be better. Just my two cents, though. Good luck, and happy holidays!

Ye, could lower the background chirp a little, but only the beginning (where it's still minor) I think. Thanks :)
