And here we are
In a last moment we get to share
Our hearts in their last minute as one
We stare
Deep into each other's eyes
And as I look upon your features
I noticed my tears gathering up on your skin
Where smiles used to be
And happiness
Only frowns follow
In the sorrow
That wallows deep in me
Because I've lost you
I lost you to myself
A long time ago
What were we but wisps of love
Whispers of hope
And joy that echoed through the valleys
And swam through the creeks
The place that used to be our home
Is only home to bad memories
And pain
And strife and strain
But one day you'll be back...
Dear Lord, I pray for the day that you'll return
We'll sing again
And dance again
Like you never left!
Like I never lost you
Like everything is back to normal
Though nothing is
It'll never be the same
As the first time we danced hand in hand
Do you remember?
Remember how we twirled and pranced
How we kissed and romanced
All through the night
All throughout the day
I long for you to return
Be it by Angel or Be it by Demon
I'll be by your side
Through everything
All you have to do is say the word
But until that day...I suppose I'll just be here
Waiting for you to come home
Laying in the grass
Crying in the fields
Until time goes forward
And the earth spins
And brings your love back to me.
Nothing is the same without your hand in mine

I promise
If it never goes back to normal
