So, OpenLight gave me an flp. of a song he didn't want to finish, and I was like "HEY I CAN THINK OF A MILLION THINGS I CAN DO WITH THIS."

Unfortunately, I didn't actually have any idea what to do with it for several weeks. Now it's done. Behold, our first collab. OpenLight did most of the synth patterns, while I did the plucks, strings and percussion, as well as some automations here and there.

Anyway, the end result is a song that combines OL's Synthpop style with my love for DnB.

Hope you like it. Oh, and feel free to point out anything that needs fixing.

Pretty awesome :p

Although this IS Chiptune, and I'm not a huge fan of stuff like this unless it is REALLY good; Anamanaguchi, Electric Children, Trash84... the good stuff...

This is not bad :p
I like how you incorporated the different effects with the chiptune, as that seemed pretty unique. I also really enjoyed the breaks, and build-ups a lot.
The string break towards the end was really awesome

Things to take a second look at;
- The Mixing could really use a lot of adjusting
- The overall mastering seemed kinda crumby (the strings really help you hear the contrast in goodness between Stings/ Drop parts)

Overall not bad, but could use a second look over

Great job!

This is pretty sweet. I like what you did at 1:00, the way you kind of broke it down. I also really enjoyed the section, 3:50 - 4:20 (I'm a sucker for chords). The pitch change at 4:52 kind of threw me off a little bit though. There's just something about it that sounds a little off. Other than that it's not bad at all and it could definitely be used as a video game theme. Keep it up!

I see what you mean by the pitch change. I've gone back on this song about 4 times, each time in order to get it just right. It still needs work, it seems.
