This is the first bit of collaborative work with friends Merlyne (Christo Tracey) and Mark212 (Mark Tanner). The band name is Kingdom of Herts (pronounced 'hearts'), and the song name is Juventud (the Spanish word for 'youth').

I concocted the tune for the song when I was in Madrid for World Youth Day. The prayer, the atmosphere, the people, deeply moved me. And in one instance my life was (literally) saved - when I was in the Cuatro Vientos airbase, right before the papal vigil, when a tent collapsed. In another instance, the thunderstorm and winds were calmed at the very start of Adoration. I had a lot to write home, and I proceeded to continue the music in late August/early September. The song was originally meant to be in Hymmnos, and the original title was, aptly, EXEC_FLIP_JUVENTUD/.

Then in the middle of my efforts my PC failed. I toiled to use Mark's PC to finish the music, and when I finally got mine back, I exported everything. I began singing. Recorded this thing first in the uni library, then at Christo's place. After causing much inconvenience, and after finishing it, the three of us hit the left-click button together to finalise it, praised God, and even celebrated the French way - with a meal and red wine!

This song did not make it to the Newgrounds CD, but I thank FatKidWitAJetPak, ThiefLeet, ObsidianSnow, Rahmemhotep, SirLoineStake and I forget who else for their reviews. ^_^

I can't say how I like this, just that it's beautiful and you did a great job of bringing everything together. Your efforts have gone far, and I hope to see more. The vocals do well to compliment the music, and vice versa.

Troisnyx responds:

Thanks a lot! I will admit, I could have done more with mixing when I did this. Just so you know, there's a remake of this song in my project files. Hopefully, when things clear up on my end, I may be able to share this with you and everyone. <3

Thank you for listening and reviewing -- seeing this certainly lifted me up!

I like this song ;D Reminds me of Chikayo Fukada with the vocals and such. It just do, even though it's not. Either way, good work with making the song. ^^ d(=o=)b

A quick note to people downloading...

As a co-submitter (I am Christo Tracey), I'm a bit worried about the downloads. This song will be released later on our debut album, all proceeds of which will go to charity. Therefore, I would respectfully ask all listeners to please abstain from downloading.

And, of course, to buy our CD when we release it! :-)

If you like this work, the rest of our Kingdom of Herts music will be put of Youtube and Facebook - please check us out there!

Troisnyx responds:

Thanks, Christo. x

Hells YES

Thanks for putting this up on here, its fantastic and REALLY deserves more recognition.

It's just... haunting. Beautiful. Gorgeous.

Troisnyx responds:

Thank you! I hope the recognition may come somehow, I just wonder how. But there should be no damper on our hopes...
