November NAC2011 - Your Brain On Drugs

I smoked some really weird herb once... it fucked my perception of reality up big time. I thought I had died and I was experiencing my soul being torn from my body and shifting into a different state of being. I thought I was going to hell. Everything suddenly had a pattern. There were waves of intense physical discomfort, far worse than any pain I've ever felt, shattering my entire being. This song reminds me of that...

Hahah.. aside from the peaking issues.. which unfortunately I will have to dock you for.. this is a great underground almost industrial mixed with fantasy like elements song. That reverbed percussion is just awesome.

And then you have an almost circus-like synth come in.. which gives it a creepy induestrial clown horror show feel to it :P

The mood is very dark and disturbing.. I wasn't aware that herb could make you feel this way.. then again... I've never done herb.. so I wouldm'y know.. still a very interesting peek into your world :P

8/10

Rather interesting

Well this one feels like it would go well into a horror movie of some kind with post apocalyptic scenery. Very beautiful dark sounding song as well. It just feels like you are stuck somewhere and while you wish to escape something keeps you from leaving, someone interesting is there yet you are unaware of what it is too. You keep going trying to discover what it all means.

The drums here are very nice and dark feeling. Feels like there is a bit of a filter on them to make them sound a bit heavier yet lighter in sound area. The bass was considerably dark feeling to me and gave a feel of a dark rhythm as you try to find the answers. The synth sounds really dark like you were sticking to the darker notes here.

The slow down near the end gives an idea and feeling as if the person was passing out for some reason too, not bad at all.

Overall, very dark and strange feeling, excellent job here.

Well thought out!

This is certainly the perfect song to wake up to at 6 in the morning (about the time I wrote this review).

It feels very trippy and creepy, especially the begiinning and end.

The slow down at the end gives off some odd impressions, like as if you've actually been killed in your helll, or you're getting a big dose of your own medicine from when you were among the living, and you pass out....perhaps indefinitely.

The rhythm sounds spot on, and really sets the mood of feeling punished and rejected by all that is good.

I somehow feel that even Dante himself (of Dante's Inferno), wouldn't feel comfortable pressing on, if this was heard in the first circle of hell.

Overall, this is an awesome example of a ZOMGWTFBBQHELL industrial song.

Dante would probably shit bricks if this were what he heard in Hell. Although, the song wasn't really about the Judeo-Christian place of torment, but rather a state of being within one's own mind too terrible to imagine. Thanks for the review (:
