I've gotten a lot of requests for a long time to do more Donkey Kong songs since doing Stage 9-8. I decided to go the different route and went with Stickerbrush Symphony.
I knew this would be sort of difficult because A. It's soft, B. It's very popular, and C. I'm stubborn about changing drastically from the original feel. So I took it as a challenge.
Skimming through peoples comments about the (original) song during my pre-recording research, most people like Stickerbrush Symphony's because it's a peaceful and relaxing (and of course, catchy) song.. so I couldn't bring myself to do the entire thing heavy and take away from that.
But of course, if I did the entire thing soft, it'd probably get boring eventually, and people are expecting that trademark GaMetal amp-up somewhere. It's there, just wait for it. :)
It was a bit refreshing to do a true softer song, we are nearing GaMetal song #50 and the 'softest' song was probably Koopa's Road. Hope you enjoy it.
Update 10-27-11: Much to my surprise this has become one of the 'Best of the Week' here on NG and is my first song to achieve this feat. Thanks everyone and I'm glad you're enjoying it!

Dude.... this song gave me goosebumps till the hard rock part, I highly recommend a legit smooth cover version to keep the goosebumps going till the end!
Other than that, I commend your work and encourage you to continue the awesomeness!

Dude, this song used to give me chills when I played this on the SNES growing up, and this did the exact same thing. I actually like the softer part more than the heavier part, even though the heavy part is still awesome. This really does the song justice, SNES game musicians back in the day were awesome!

Somehow, you did it right, specially with the transition between the serene part to a rock style and back: Is sounded extremely epic! Seriously! Great Job, one of the best remixes of this song I had Heard =)

I don't know how but even the hard part was soothing. This song works so great, good job.
