ohhh, thats a nice and solid guitar riff, i love the fenders sound, and i've gotta say, the best guitars in the world(in my opinion), are the fenders and the gibson's!
splendid sound, and excellent quality...

and this track shows us just that.
you are rocking in a really nice way, and the sound's sharp, but enjoyable.
this music track is short, but quite awesome.

very enjoyable.

my only ''complaint'' would be that its too short.
perhaps you could do one more version of this, with you singing, or making the track slightly longer, with more epic riffs like that! :D

good work!

Thanks again for the review Chris. Glad you liked it. Not likely that we'll do another extended version and I can guarantee you there'll be no vocals. If you heard me sing you'd understand why. lol. Plus to be honest it wasn't actually written with lyrics in mind.

This is a pretty twisted and nice guitar solo to listen to. The only real problem I am hearing is a couple of really high notes near the start of the song, not sure if you did that intentionally or accidentally.

gamejunkie responds:

Thanks SCTE3. Every note is played as intended. Including the high notes. This track along with a couple of others were thought up and recorded within an hour. Now you can see it's called 'Lettin' Loose' for a reason. Because we were just playing around and letting loose. Another much appreciated review.

Cheers gj.

Review time.

THE GOOD:
-Guitar sound is pretty good.
-It's short and sweet, as you said. The tunes sound nice.

THE NOT-AS-GOOD:
-This doesn't really go anywhere. It plays for about 50 seconds of soloing, but there doesn't seem to really be an 'idea' to it.
-Few painful recording issues at 0:06 and 0:16-0:18.
-Overall production/recording issues. There's some background distortion, and some of the high notes are a bit overly shrill.
-This isn't so much a complaint as just a point - this seems very much like off-the-cuff guitar recording without much of an initial idea or a LOT of practice time (though I assume that, like your other song, you ran through the short idea a few times before recording).

Overall:
Not much for me to comment on. It's alright. Not something I'd listen to repeatedly, mainly due to the high-pitched painful bits and the background distortion. It gets a 6/10 from me - though that's assuming this IS off-the-cuff soloing and not a 'song', and also factors in the short length.

-Swint

Once again you've provided a wonderful in-depth review. Which is exactly what I asked you for, so a big thanks for that. It's fairly obvious to me that this kind of music isn't exactly your kind of music, but I have to take it as read that not everyone has the same musical tastes as me. Thanks again for a great review as always. Much appreciated.

Real nice.

Really like this man. Only beef is maybe could do with a touch of production on it, to widen it up into stereo. What's it recorded from, a mic'd up amp? Anyways, 5/5 voted but 8/10 for the production, but that's just a small point, 5/5 for the vote
