About two months ago, I was listening to alot of epic music, and so I decided to remix Sephiroth's theme, and so I arranged this from the original. Original song by Nobou Uematsu.

Interesting remix

Hm, this is a very interesting remix. I didn't recognize the original even though you kept the bass line mostly "intact". But without the melodies present in the first part of the song it really does sound a lot different than "Those Chosen by the Planet".

I think it's interesting how dark and eerie this song sounds in your version. I guess it's because you emphazised the bass line so much and kept the melody very much in the background. The original sounds creepy, but still somewhat mystical. Your remix sounds - as I've said above - eerie and creepy and I like that a lot.

You've done a pretty good job remixing this song. Keeping the original baseline intact and you even added the original melodies and yet you created a whole different song. Good work!

Interesting song :P

As a whole, this song makes me think of a goblin dungeon. The deep pounding drums/ faint choir samples really set the stage for some sort of epic underground lair, and the deep grumble bass really complements everything else pretty well.
I could definitely see this going into a flash game in this future.

Things I would have done differently:
- The bass sample sounded slightly fake in comparison to all of the other sounds you used.
- This song really seemed to be kind of dry; I would have liked to hear more fx samples/ percs with delay/ subtle pads/ and so on...

Besides those things though, solid effort!

inb4 FF2012?

I love the beginning,and i always loved sephiroth's theme,so this is a lovely arrangement.

i like the synth you used for the bassline, and the the bass drum ringing in my right ear is awesome, although it didnt really have any dynamic contrast, contrary to the bass synth, which has plenty of dims and crescs.

one thing i like about this is that the feel remains the same throughout the whole remix, which i enjoy personally, although i like syncopated rhythms,i like some kind of stability in the mood/rhythm of such syncopation.great job on that.

one thing i didn't like really was the fact there really wasnt much dynamic contrast, except for maybe once in the whole song.another thing is that you didn't hint at his battle theme, which was what i was hoping for,but oh well.

to conclude, this is a beast version of the crazy bastard's theme, and although there isn't much to talk about(and the fact this songs' a REMIX) it's still a nice presentation of it. good work sir.

Yeah, I definantly could have given it more dynamics. And I actually think, going on top of that, I could have given the drums some time on the left, and some time on the right, so that it would be even cooler. Stuff like that is why I like getting reviews. So that when I go on to make my next song, it sounds even cooler. Thanks for the review. :D

Doom and demise

Really reminds me of that heart destroying scene from Final Fantasy VII where Sephiroth goes mad and destroys the entire hometown of Cloud, Zack, and Tifa in rage and anger at discovering his father cared nothing for him and only saw him as an experiment at the time as well. You really seem to have captured that essence in this one too.

The drums give a dynamic feel as if knowing when you look into his new cold eyes that you will have to fight him again one day to save the planet from his hateful wrath after you somewhat kill his father who lives on through someone else on the network of an underground organization.

The piano also gives the feeling that this may be your last day alive as he laughs just enjoying the time of killing everyone alive and coming back later it feels strange seeing the town rebuilt with undercover ShinRa workers living there like it was normal.

The synth gives a deep dark feel of someone coming to kill you as well which makes you feel slightly uneasy as you look into why Sephiroth did what he did to you trying to take on the world himself with his power of lunacy.

Overall, incredibly wonderful covered remix, sounds awesome. I also liked the bells.
