Well, I haven't uploaded anything in a while. This upload is actually something I had already done.

This song was created for use in the First Fantasy game, made by bcdefg123, found at the following link:

Unfortunately, I haven't had much of a chance to compose, since I am currently studying, have a job, and am also dating xD I call it the Trinity of the University Student.

Anyhow! This is actually a second try at a song request from bcdefg123 for a capital-type city. Initially, I had created "Imperial Capital" which wasn't really what he wanted. At first, this one didn't convince him either xD guess he just started liking it with time, as it happens frequently.

Actually, I did have to tone down the power on this song a little bit. The harps on the main melody at the beginning were actually bells, and the strings were louder and stronger.

Since this song was created specially for First Fantasy, I initially did not think it would be appropriate to upload it. Here it is, however, at the game creator's request! ;D

Its rather stale at the first half, I do think better of the progression in the second, its calmer, though not very elaborate. The cymbal is too short and too sterile in sound imo, would be better longer. Ill give you 4 stars for the track being above average though.

Good as usual

Well, this is a grand, sweeping theme for a large, fantasy-inspired city. There are some undertones of battle, but they don't dominate the piece. The harp especially helps diffuse some of the tension. I bet this could also be used for a city that was about to go off to war, though.

One of my complaints is the the harp, while it serves a purpose, felt a tad artificial, like it didn't 100% belong in the song. That might be due in part to the fact that I originally heard another version of the song, where bells replaced at least some of the strings. The song felt like it supported those better, but this version still fit my game more.

And you are correct on liking it more with time - it has also happened with art for the game :P It's the difference between what I had in mind at the time and what it actually was, and eventually I came to terms with it and realized that it wasn't a bad thing. It does happen a lot with me.
