This song, which is now part of The National Service Journal, resulted from a challenge by one of my best friends. The challenge was to compose something with the title "Resounding Chime of Ice". Sure, the beginning sounded like a chime of ice, but after that, it completely veered off. It was soon renamed "Whispers in the Rain", and I found that it would make a good ambience.

Reason why I put this under the Classical category is because apart from the dreampads, there is nothing entirely electronic about the piece, and it's meant to be an easy listening piece.

Sequenced on FL Studio 9 (demo, and whilst I still had it).

I somehow chanced upon a DeviantArt Flash featuring this as a soundtrack ('Vinyl's Silent Wish').
This music enabled the simple idea of a conversation with a lonely animated pony to become almost tear-jerking. Honestly, it really moved me, and the fact that it is of a higher quality here is all the better.
Once I had actually discovered the true ending to the Flash ('I'll be your friend') and saw the conclusive artwork, this music made it all the more satisfying.
I think this deserves to be in more submissions, there is a lot of emotion that can be portrayed with this track alone. Your usage of water effects is also rather enticing and interesting to listen to (e.g. the flowing water in Mio/Homura, and the trickling/falling of rain alongside the piano solo in this one.)
Keep it up, Troisnyx. I miss your presence here.

Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that was quite the moving melody.
Wouldn't you agree that there's something nostalgic about piano solos?

Troisnyx responds:

I'd agree in a heartbeat - I'm a pianist myself! ^_^ But yeah, good piano solos do have a nostalgic quality to them. Glad you loved it! Thank you!

Very good

Beautiful. Would make a very good movie theme, like when the main character finds their son or something.
However, the piano goes a little high in some parts.

^_^' I've noticed the high piano bit. Bright piano + high notes = not the best thing. Still, glad you liked it! Thanks for the listen and the review!
