Basically I was sitting around doing nothing during a storm one day and this melody popped into my head. It kept coming to me over the course of the day, so eventually I went and started playing around with a few sounds until I managed to get it all down in front of me. Hope you like it. :)
If you like 'Thunderclouds', check out my other song 'Cumulo Meets Nimbus' which is an extended and perhaps more atmospheric version of Thunderclouds.

Nicely done, but typically, when I think of trance, I think of a more fast-paced beat.

Hey, this is really quite good! I remember listening to these songs last year. Great times :)
Hey Hannah! I'm glad you came back to listen to it again, really appreciated! :)

This gives me an amazing Boards Of Canada feel I can't seem to shake off at the start, I could listen to it loop for the first 2 minutes for awhile if the melody didn't have a bittersweet part to it, It surrounds you in a melody beautiful yet smiling type of soundscape, The synth that comes in a 3:46 seems a little too harsh, fast and loud, It's not far off though!, When it starts stuttering it feels just right. The little breakdown/suspense (I don't know what it's called) around 4:47 didn't feel right to me.

Hey Waykbass! Thank you for the input. I'm glad you were honest about the portions of the song that didn't sound/feel quite right to you. Input like this allows me to work on things that will make my music better! :)

it sounds pretty
I like it. very relaxing. but I see more like... water instead of thunder clouds.
I definitely see what you mean. If you liked this one, you should check out what I did with it in one of my other songs "Cumulo Meets Nimbus". I took all of the basics from this song and then layered a nice thunderstorm effect in the background.
