EDIT: Tried fixing 2 notes on the 1st piano in the song. If it doesn't sound right, then review about it & I will take it out.
----------------
This is my 1st remix/trance song with FL Studio. This is a remix of DJHeat's song, Dreams, which you can check out his page & song here (P.S.-I only remixed the 2nd half of the song starting at 1:47):

This one took me quite awhile, but with help from some friends & learning more about what notes can go together, effects to toy around with, & music theory, I finished this song. I'm actually quite proud of this one. It took me almost a week pretty much cuz I haven't had that much time to work on it. But, since I've gotten FL Studio, I will probably make songs less frequently cuz I have to learn better about MIDI & the program itself. I never thought my 1st trance/remix would sound like this for a 1st try, but that's why I took so much time to finish a song with FL. Here are some facts about this:

22 Patterns & Instruments
VST's used were EDIROL Orchestra, 3xOsc, & SFZ
4 Automation Clips
Mastered Only with Fruity Compressor
117 BPM
The song is rendered in HQ

Hope you enjoy the remix!!! Pleez rate fairly, review, & download :D

Yeah

Great stuff man! You had really good bass placement but didn't over do it. It was really easy to listen to and slip into it.

Stavier responds:

Thanx man!!! I'll probably end up editing this one a lil bit in the future or somethin', depends.

Retro and Fresh!

Great job! It has a nice overall sound. I love the change in mood, 'twas unexpected and fun. The transition for that was strange at first, but then interesting..and the piano at the end was justice. 'can't wait to hear more! 8D

Stavier responds:

Thanx man. I just totally tried a different style and change the mood to somethin' more epic. Glad you like the outro piano cuz I thought it created a good mood. Thanx for the review!!!

cool for midi.

This sounds good for a midi. Whenever I do midi, it's always lower quality. 1:54 sounds like you added a chaotic part to it. with the strings. when it goes on though, it sounds its more along with the song. It was a nice twist.

Nicelycomposed. Keep it up.

Stavier responds:

I was surprised that when I rendered this in HQ that it came out to only be 8.1 MB. Yeah, I wanted to make more of a different mood with the strings and piano cuz it just came to me. Thanx for the review!!!

Wow

Shoot, I'm no good at even knowing when a song is mastered or not, so no complaints there, but it just sounds... Hmm... It sounds like a generic FL Core song at times. It's still a great song, and it'd be amazing for FL Core. Also, around two minutes into it, the strings and arp don't work too well with each other, but I got used to it pretty quickly. Overall, nice work!

Stavier responds:

Thanx man, not too familiar with FL Core, but I've heard of it. & Yeah, I'm thinkin' of switchin' the strings and piano, but I still do need to work on it, yes. Thanx for the review!!!
