Here's an experiment into true ambiance. I put a lot of work into this - finding samples was difficult, and getting all the whispers together and the right length was a huge time-consumer. Making the heartbeat sound constant was another difficulty, though smaller.

Personally, I think this would go awesome in a flash game or something, where a creepy-ish tune in the background is needed. If someone asks for a more loop-ish version, I'll try to make one.

This was a request for a friend as a theme for their roleplay character. I will not do requests without prices, except for a few people, or if you've paid in other ways.

-Please tell me anything you can think of that would make this better. If you don't think it's a 5/5 or 10/10, it would be awesome if I could hear how I could make it that.

-Enjoy!

(Note: If you do not like the "I see you" bit, please go to this song instead: http://www.newgrounds.com /audio/listen/438605 It is the same thing, only without that clip.)

I see who?

The samples were awesome! The accurately portray the mood that you were shooting for from the start. Definitely has that dead and decaying feel to it.

Some pointers:

0:35 when the staccato strings come in. I don't think this melody fits with the rest of the song. It doesn't add to the creepy feel very well. Perhaps you could have saved the theme for later, or simply skip this part.

0:55 much better melody selection for the track. This adds very well to both the creepy and the RPG feel.

1:12 I love the piano that you bring into the song at this point. However, I think you could have added some high notes on the piano in addition to the high notes that you used with the bell.

One other thing: the background sample, although excellently mixed, does get repetitive after 2 mins of continuous playback. I think you could have it fade in and out at certain parts, apply various other effects to it, or perhaps layer more samples on top.

Overall, excellent job here!

Cool Beans

Pretty much the same thing I listened to already though, I still really think this could complement a game or flash animation really well though! Maybe you should try asking around, and see if any animators are looking for music submissions?
Thanks for sharing this awesome work with the community I hope the best of luck to you on journey into professional music composition :)

Great Effort!

-Review Request Club-

Same

Well I have really got to say is that it is pretty much the same as the other except with a voice clip added. Apply everything I said in the last review to the same thing here and it is the same. Only that creepier voice has been added. Pretty good still anyways, not bad.

SkyeWint responds:

Yep. The only main thing added was the voice in this one. It wasn't wanted in the original request, and some people liked it, so I uploaded both.

Actually though, if you listen closely, I added an echo to the whispers. :P

I really like this

This seems like it would be perfect for a Luigi's Mansion-esque section of a game, like a big creepy mansion or tomb or something. Good work!

SkyeWint responds:

Thanks! Wish the zerobombers would lay off (for once), though I guess because of it I have more of a chance to get a high rating by the time it gets into the ratings. They won't notice until it's back up there. lol.

It's designed to be creepy, to have an eerie nature, which is why I have it in tritones and minor keys throughout, centered around B.

Glad you like it!
