Woot! Weekly Tops list achieved! Thanks guys!

Was feeling in the mood to create a metal ballad of sorts... Actually, that's a lie, I started out writing a classical piece, and decided I wanted to throw a chugging guitar on top of it instead of a flute or violin... And this is what came out.

Also, I'm sure someone is gonna complain that this isn't metal. Well, suck it up buttercup, it's got a chugging guitar in it, to me, that makes it a metal ballad, we don't have a genre listing for that, so I put it in the closest possible genre, which happens to be Heavy Metal.

I really love how you started the song with a small piano piece and then slowly introduced the guitar,
Great job, and keep up the good work!

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

Yeah, I'm a big fan of piano in all kinds of music, so I try to include it as much as possible when I'm writing.

Thanks for the review!

very nice

i like the concept of the soft intro it made it very dramatic! and the fact that the piano played all the way thru is a nice touch also!instead of just having the guitars all the way thru after the intro. i applaud u for ur work bravo !

Good Song

i liked the song it has a very good tease that makes you want to listen to the end to find out what the ending is.

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

I would actually LOVE to see someone use this in a flash to convey a story with it... I'd love to see someone's interpretation (Well, I love to see peoples interpretations of any of my music really) of this in visual form to see just how it would end in their minds.

I can dream!

First few seconds I was thinking, "This is nice :) A bit depressing though" Then the guitar comes in and it changed to, "Heck yeah, this is awesome! Still depressing, but that makes it awesome." The only thing is that I wish it was a bit longer...

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

I've tried doing "Happy music", it's really not my thing, it's not that I can't do it, it's more that it's not my style, I like slow emotional music, and I like writing it even more. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside (Completely ironic, I know).
I always tend to drift to 3 different moods in the majority of my music... Depressing, Dark, and Angry. Some would argue there isn't much of a difference between Depressing and Dark.. And I disagree, although I won't go into it here.

In any case, it will be longer, as I will be doing a part two eventually. Thanks for the review!
