Woot! Weekly Tops list achieved! Thanks guys!

Was feeling in the mood to create a metal ballad of sorts... Actually, that's a lie, I started out writing a classical piece, and decided I wanted to throw a chugging guitar on top of it instead of a flute or violin... And this is what came out.

Also, I'm sure someone is gonna complain that this isn't metal. Well, suck it up buttercup, it's got a chugging guitar in it, to me, that makes it a metal ballad, we don't have a genre listing for that, so I put it in the closest possible genre, which happens to be Heavy Metal.

awesome mixture

I love the mix of classical and metal put together. The piano and guitar just go together perfectly. Also I have to add for being made entirely on a computer I think it sounds amazing.

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

Actually, it wasn't entirely made on the computer, I recorded the guitar part using my Peavy Raptor 6 string through my Line 6 POD X3 Live. But you're not the first to think it's not a real guitar, and I'm really starting to wonder why people keep thinking it's a VST and not a real instrument.
Everything else however was done on computer (Piano/drums).

In any case, I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks!

Great job

I really enjoyed the combination of piano and guitar, unless I think the guitar should be heavier and louder, to give it some "metal sound". but still it's great piece of work :)

Back-From-Purgatory responds:

And here I actually turned the guitars DOWN of all things... But I was drowning out the piano before, it had to be done!

Well done

oh? This is quite good. I've always loved the sound of a piano in a metal ballad... who said metal can't help you sleep? (I mean this in the best way possible)... I look forward to the rest.

This style of music would be my lullaby, the more I listen to it, the more I enjoy it, it carries the same kind of vibe as "Them", except with the added benefit of guitar and light drums.

Glad you enjoyed it! I'll try not keep you waiting on Part Two for too long (Boy, where have we heard that before?).
