cool, thanks for the vote and awesome review... yeah, I don't really care bout those cocksuckers... there's really nothing I can do about it so I'm going to choose to not dwell on it. Anywho, about the song: I wrote this a long time ago like 2 years ago or something... but the quality was really bad cause I recorded it on a cheap Tascam 4 track tape recorder... so I decided to redo it. The lyrics were submitted into a poetry contest where they got me to be a semi-finalist... and they are published in some poetry compilation floating around somewhere out there. The drum track was made in BeatCraft using like 43 sepperate patterns... there really is not much repetition in the drums except in the more melodic parts where I felt that exessive drum fills would detract from the fluidity of it. Most of this was done using the 4/16 timing for the patterns so that I could have slightly late or slightly early strikes on the snare and cymbals to make an 'on top of each other' type sound you get from hitting the same drum with both sticks. There is a lot of work done on the cymbals too. I suppose there might not be anouth bass in the drums but that is for 2 reasons... the type of black metal I was going for in this is not a high production quality sound... it's more of a droning jarring yet melodic sound... and also I have crappy speakers and bass makes them rattle so I tend to cut a lot of it out, assuming that it will sound as shitty on everyone's speakers as it does on mine.
