I probably should've waited longer to release Dive because the mixing wasn't nearly as good as it could've been, which this shows. I've actually remastered this I think four times, but I left it alone for a couple weeks and just got back to it today. In that time I did a lot of work with Maximus in FL Studio, which basically every other mastering plugin in the DAW is based off of. It has the most helpful visuals and it enabled me to learn a lot more about stereo shaping, compressing and equalizing. However, Maximus was NOT used in this track, because I still have only the demo version and so it deletes itself whenever I reopen the project file. It was more work than it was worth to master the whole thing in one sitting with it because I am in fact timed while I work, as I used the demo version of Nexus for the main chorus-y pad and that goes out after like ten or fifteen minutes. But this still turned out fine, nothing but an EQ, light compressor and a limiter on the Master track. There are also a few new instruments in there that are very subtle in what I like to call the sub-background that add some nicer qualitites to the soundscape.
But above all, I hope you as the listener enjoy! Thank you for listening, and be sure to keep up with further updates!
