Hi there, it's been a while since "Subconscious Mind".
I've been experimenting and training for quite a good amount of time, trying to recreate some specific atmospheres while being constantly influenced by both old and modern electronic music and avant-garde acts. Well this time I'm back to a more "soundtrack" sound, this track is not meant to be... "individualist" so to speak. At least for me, you may surely have different views on it, something I would like to discuss with you.
Well enjoy. :D

_______
Tales have told about an enchanted forest, crawling with life and peculiar creatures, of all sizes and colors. They say every dawn a little patch of meadow at the center of the wood, free from the trees fronds, is brightly illuminated by the Sun and the ghosts of those that suffered a tragic fate wonder the area seeking eternal peace, enshrouded in ethereal mist. That place is thus called "Eye of Dawn".

FTW

I like the chords,i like the rhythm,i like everything in this song;except for one thing- and one thing only.

there isn't a different chord progression. in the entire song! honestly, the least you could do is change keys, because one's attention span can only be for so long. you should really try working on that, even if this is an ambient song.

also, the birds get annoying after a while, and it's okay that they come in at the end, they're just staying too long in the beginning of the song, almost into 2 minutes.

overall,it's decent for an ambient piece, but the basis is too repetitive.

Serenity

This pieces seem to be a very long yet calming piece as well since it has you feeling relaxed for a majority of the song as well. The song itself is just really good feeling and makes you feel nice as well. Surprisingly long piece though, still awesome.

The beginning ambient piano note keeps playing the whole way through simply changing the notes of ambiance that it plays the whole way through. The secondary synth plays chillingly higher note standards along with being kinder.

Then you got another synth coming in that plays some quicker notes with an added echo effect attached to it here making it nice to hear. I like how the bass appears to have a booming effect as well.

The hi hat sounds great when heard. Is that a pan flute I also hear in this piece?

Overall, very long and very relaxing piece.

KKSlider60 responds:

Yes, the flute plays the main theme in fact. I wanted it to sound powerful, slow and march-like. :D
Thanks for your kind review, as always

very cool.

like the others below have said, it's very relaxing, but at the same time there's this underlying suspense that keeps my attention. There's also a lot in this that reminds me a lot of Pink Floyd, very psychodelic. haha. The percussion was also very well done, fitting to the piece and not overbearing. It all just blends so well together. Great work.

I know it's sometimes quite spontaneous to find similarities between Pink Floyd and psychedelic, spacey music. :D And when it happens, it is a very good thing indeed.
Thank you bro ^^

Wow

I knew you were good, but I never knew you had such a knack for atmospheric ambient tracks. This one really gives me the feeling of playing some sort of RPG, in a forest. Great stuff.

The flutes are so perfect in this track, and brings out emotions in the listener, while the ambient synths and the noise with the birds in the background really brings out the forest feel of the track. I really like what you did with the drums, though they could be lowered just a tad, a tiny tiny bit, as they sound a bit too loud right now.

Really an amazing track. I could relax to this.

Yeah, Ambient music is my life and constant inspiration. No kidding about it.
I like to blend styles and experiment with different textures each time... it's like being in a 4X game, exploring unique territories, colonizing them. Some of 'em I manage to greatly take care of, some others well... are not for me.
Thanks again for your impressions,

This track man...its just hypnotizing. So great.
I'm sorry but I'm short of words here. This is just such relaxing, mystifying, immersing piece.

You should be proud of yourselves, dammit!
Wonderful. I can imagine this being used in so many films.
I love how it keeps the same pace throughout. Wonderful sub bass, wonderful percussion, great use of instruments. i am truly jealous!

You know, I actually invented that mini-story to help myself finding a good title for this lil' creature of mine. It looks like it works fine ;D
