Snailiad - Amastrida Abyssus

I wrote this song using Famitracker, for my game, Snailiad! :-) You can download the rest of this soundtrack from my site (auriplane.net), including the NSF files, if you like.

This is one of the Latinate area names. Amastridae are Hawaiian snails; Carelia Lirata is an extinct species in that family. Abyssus, of course, is the Latin word from which the English "abyss" is derived. This area involves plunging deep into what seems like it may be a bottomless pit! I tried to step up the energy in the music a bit for this level, to make it seem like this is where the game gets serious. I threw in a couple 7/8 measures to help push things forward, and this was the favorite music of my beta testers :-) I hope you like it!

I just LOVE THIS GAME!!!!! I beat it on the main site, 100 percent items, and yea... I JUST LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Professional grade music.
Sounds very metroid like, but I d say... much better.

oh.. :3

My favorite track from my favorite game :DD

I can't really describe what I like about it...

...But I like how the main melody part makes me think of fire...
...and the other part...the one I can't describe...the sort of, um...the - - - - - - - thing...well anyway, that one makes me think of ice.
I don't know whether this review made any sense or not, but it's a good song.
5/5, 9/10

Very Sweet

Another excellent Snailiad track. I felt the way you described that Amastrida was where the game was getting intense.

auriplane responds:

Whew! Thanks for all these reviews XD
