Electronic - Drum N Bass

Author Comments

I made this about 5 years ago and completely forgot about it. For college we had to make a piece of music that could go with a Sci-Fi action film like War of the worlds.

Made in Cubase.

Not a bad mix, but i prefer MechWarrior 2: 31st Century Combat
Track 9 [IE 00:04-00:22] in full, rather then it been cut up and thrown into this.

ToliveAnimations responds:

What? I've never heard of that game, this was made entirely by playing synth on cubase through a midi keyboard and slicing up a drum sample. The melody was very rushed because I was more concerned about the drums, I have no idea what you're talking about, please show me a link to what you're talking about.

reminds me of warzone2100 :D could it be that you mixed it ?^^

ToliveAnimations responds:

I've never played that game. Some other guy said it sounded like a different game. Could it be that it just sounds like game music? I have no idea. But no, this is all original apart from the amen break drum sample which I sliced and moved around to make a broken beat.
Could you show me the track you're on about?
Thanks for the review

YES! Newgrounds needs more breakcore/IDM music!
This is the first breakcore/IDM song I have heard here!
Make the next one longer! And do not wait 5 years before you'll upload it ;)

Glad you appreciated this man. I did this ages ago for a college project, it had to be only about a minute long. If you like it so much I could knock something up waaaay better. I made this around the same time I first discovered venetian snares. Thanks for the review man, I really appreciate it.
Much love

I think this would belong in DnB. It's a really good song, even if it's a little short. Something that could possibly go in a flash, I think.

Thanks for the review mate. I guess your right that it would fit into dnb more than other genres in the list, only there's not much bass going on. It's more like breakbeat I suppose.
I would have made it longer, but for the project it was only supposed to be a minute - a minute and a half.
Thanks again for the review
