ok ok i need to know...........
whats the sound at 2:34? It reminds me of a sound from Blaster Master, and a sound from the first 2 contra games. PLEEEASE TELL MEE!!!!!!!!!
I keep listening to that part but i can't figure it out!
This song is awesome!
Great job!

Good... But mono :-S
Pretty nice, too bad this is not stereo... But his game was awesome, and its musics were really nice. You managed to make a very nice remix without losing the original music's magic.

Mono, which is too bad...
It really brought back a lot of memories. I played this game a long while. It's a very good remix, too bad it had a couple of flaws. There are some spikes in the song which you could have gotten rid of with a modest use of quantize. Apart from that, it's got a horrible transition at 2:34-2:36
To finish it all off, the song is in mono... which is too bad. If it would 2 speakers, it would produce a sound that would have a big impact on the environment it is played in.
Still, it can't be all bad... the song in itself is a very good remix, it didn't go too far from the original to lose it's recognisable parts and specific tune. A job well done!
Haha that transition doesn't sit well with people I guess... it was intended to be sort of a break from the predictability of the whole thing but I guess it was a bad move kinda. Glad you liked the rest, as I noted below the mono thing has been noticed. You're spot on, it does diminish the impact it might have...and it would also improve on the relatively bad sound quality. I will resubmit it in stereo some time. Hopefully soon. Thanks for the review!

Excellent Nostaligia
As others have noted, a marvellous blend of an old tune to new beats and music. However, I do have one technical problem. I don't know if it's just my laptop, but I only hear the song in one ear (no stereo). Maybe this is something you can fix? Otherwise, it's a beautiful song that I don't mind having stuck in my head all day.
Yes, it's mono - I wrote in an earlier response how I didn't notice that until it was up. I'll have to resubmit it some time. Thanks for the kind words!

Now I have to play that game again.
This give a new life to such a classic tune in such a way that it's just pure genius. You took the theme of the first village of Link's Awakening and gave it a techno feel. There's also an aura of the importance of that town in that game that still shows though the mix that serves to further enhance the coolness of this composition. If you decided to change up the original beat just a tad bit more it'd have been perfect in my opinion. I still gave you a 10 because I want to hear a lot more like this and the fact that the remix fits perfectly with the tone of the original beat.
Thanks a lot again! It's probably my fav tune from the game, a shame it's gone forever when you pick up the sword.
