Clint Picard, Likewise

"Clint Picard, Likewise" (so named quoting a dated video game reference) was strongly influenced by "Freak kitchen" guitarist Mattias IA Eklundh's solo work from his two studio albums. Although primarily a very technical guitar album I was more influenced by his genius, quirky and sometimes even comical use of time signatures and lead guitar lines. I lacked, and still lack, the skill to imitate his guitar style but the essence and feel I was going for I think I managed to achieve.

The intro/outro to this song was a little line I wrote while improvising in an intensive improvisation class at Uni, I liked it a lot and thought I'd make it something. This song includes the first ever electric guitar solo I've written and recorded as I'm always been rhythm guitarist, lets hope they get better.

here's what I see when I listen to this:

0.00 - 0.30 - Two mexicans are in the desert, they are brothers, and have been committing crimes across the country for decades together, but where we join their tale, the eldest brother, has just been shot through the heart, the music begins to him falling to the sand in slow motion, a look of terror and hatred on his face.

0.30 - 1.00 - The younger brother begins to run over to his fallen bandit.

1.00 - 1.29 - The younger brother catches his brother before he hits the ground, there is blood everywhere, he shakes him, but he is already dead.

and everything after that, is the youngest brother bringing an onslaught upon the enemy.

Amazing Review... Mabye make this a reality?

Dropkick murphys!

This is great! :D Come 2:07 and I get this amazing Dropkick Murphys feeling. :D I almost wish you'd gone with that style throughout the whole track. :P Not that the rest of the track is any worse ;)

Still, it's a little on the slow side for ME to like, and the audio quality could be improved. Nonetheless, this is a very interesting piece of music, and kudos to you for your guitar skills! Keep it up! ;)

I'd be delighted for you to return the favor on my latest submission :)

Dawbarton responds:
