This is a low fi indie song I came up with. Please tell me what you think, if you feel like it.

Lyrics:

JOHN!

Since went everything black
It's all been out of whack
Don't know what else to say
Maybe I'm not okay

Earth to John

Swimmin' through someone
Swimmin through someone else's dream

And no I'm not your pet
Though your pet, I could be that
Your heart in outer space
Bass guitar in its place

Earth to John

Swimmin' through someone
Swimmin through someone else's dream

Curious.

This is a peculiar one! I'm not even sure whether I should give constructive criticism at all! While you certainly made my evening, this song might seem like "EarCancer" to most people. Well, good thing I'm not everyone else.

I hear a fairly simple but quite entrancing harmonic- must be what makes this song so wonderful. The quality for this particular piece SHOULD be low (IMO), but not to this extent. The lyrics are... Well... Nothing out of ordinary.

So much for a short review of a short piece. Too short- too bad. I'd really like to hear a longer version of the song, with a little higher quality. Anyway, congratulations- you've uncovered something truly interesting, keep it up!

EmilyBeta is out! Let's spread happiness together!

NotASpatula responds:

Thank you for the compliments and constructive criticism. I wish the quality was slightly higher too, but I have poor recording software. I would make a version with less hiss if I could. However, the short length is intentional. I prefer the get-in get-out philosophy of old school punk.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. I know this is pretty far to the left of the electronica loops usual of Newgrounds, so thanks for giving it a chance.
