"Very VG friendly"

For some reason I'm getting a very Castlevania-ish feeling out of this one. I'm picturing a blue guy just chain-whipping the hell out of some vampire dude. And it's cool. :)

Again, great work.

Author's Response:

Oops, I forgot to reply to this one.

Haha, Castlevania eh? I loved that game...

Anyways thanks for the review! :D

"Pretty good Grant!"

date: February 5, 2006

You were boasting about this to me before it came out so I decided to check it out. It is a little unclear in parts and has a bit of a pitch change near the middle/end. Other than that this on one of your best pieces of work gGrant.

Author's Response:

Thanks for the review! The pitch 'damage' was intentional, however, the beat thing fading away into practically non-existance was not. :P

But thanks!

"Great stuff!"

so ashamed at not visiting your page yet, but I am here now, ONTO THE REVIEW!

The melody for this made me feel so powerful, its the song of the undying warrior, forever pushing on, those who stand in his way, will find the cold taste of steel!

There is too much distortion, I would highly recommend an compresser effect (if your using Fruity Studio's) to keep the distortion levels down.

Overal, its a very up and going piece! I loved it.

Theres just the volume issue, if that was fixed, this song would not only rock, it would pwn!

5/5 from me, because I play this in my head with proper volume levels and it blows me away.

Keep them coming JohnF_N, i'll keep my eye on you ^^.

Author's Response:

Haha don't worry it's no problem. I like your description, I must say, it's nowhere near what I was thinking when I finished it.

Your right about the distortion. I always screw something up and then come back a little later after I submit and realize. This time I left it open overnight to come back in the morning and listen to it again, and fixed a lot of stuff. Then I submitted. Later on I was listening to it again and I was like holy crap, that instrument sucks. So yeah, hindsight is 20:20 ^^ I need someone else to listen to my stuff beforehand. :P

And also, you're totally right about the volume, that's something I never even realized before.

Anyways, thanks for the fair vote and review. And I will keep them comming, as long as I stay bored like this :D

"Destined for greatness"

by: Al6200

Good, not quite up to the standards of A New Hope, but really, this puts Adam Philips to shame. NightShift, not the good ones with the shirtless deer man and the yellow thing and the littlefoot. Thats like the best thing ever made.

But in conclusion this is very good.

Author's Response:

Haha, thanks.
