I cant help but think back to the sonic comic series, after all the loses to sonic, dr eggman went off the deep end and literally went crazy, it also make me think of Alice Madness Returns, a messed up demented vision of robotnik's world as it's falling appart with each failure attempt

I tried to make it sound a bit darker, I'm not sure if it worked, but I made this in under an hour.

I haven't read the Archie comics in such a long time, but I think I remember that. That's when they introduce the alternate universe Eggman, right? Anyway, I made it with a dark version of Sonic's world in mind.

Eeehhh well...
You made this under an hour? Dang thats pretty good. But I can't help but rate it low because it just doesn't sound right to me. I mean, its more gloomy sounding than from what I understand is "Dark." I usually associate Dark with "Badass" or just plain "Evil" but this is just plain gloomy sounding to me.
Still under an hour is under an hour and for this much quality to show is pretty cool in its own right.
If I was aiming for "Dark" I woulda' made the violins have more prominence, replace the piano with a distorted guitar and upped the BPM to like 666 with blazing flame decals.
I obviously have no idea what I am talking about.

Dark isn't badass (but depending on your tastes it could be), but to each his own I suppose. Dark is actually depressing or as you said gloomy and according to your review I think I hit my mark perfectly.
I made this with the scenario of Eggman taking over the world after killing Sonic, so I could see why you would call it gloomy, but that is kinda what I was aiming for.
Anyways, thanks for the review, hoping to hear from you in the future as well.
