This is only a preview version of an upcoming track called Aqua Pura. Figured I would get some opinions on the track as I am doing it. Mind you this is only preliminary. I am still working out things with the track. Figured I would share something with you all until it is done or I get back from my deployment in Afghanistan.

To get to brass tax, so to speak, about the track. The track is inspired by two things - Afghanistan (My current deployment) & Fallout 3. Though Afghanistan is not a jaw dropping place of beauty, the people are. They live in places, do things, and works jobs that most of the civilized world would consider above them or barbaric. Not saying they are, because they aren't. Most of the locals I have met are smart, but don't have a lot of money or technology. Fallout 3 inspired me because of the atmospheric music that you hear as your character roams the wasteland. As devastated as the wasteland is in the game, some of the land is still well within acceptable ranges of livability. Though it does make for an interesting take on what our planet might look like in the same situation.

Just the sounds, man

On the introduction, that oscillating sweep is a little off time and very mismatched from the guitar. Later, that pluck seems out of place over it. Also the drums sound a little mundanely robotic. Good musical concepts, but the sounds you chose just don't fit together great.

That is why it is a preview. It isn't totally finished. I listened to the sounds you were talking about and they didn't seem out of place to me. Then again I am working with a laptop and headphones cause of my current living conditions. So that may be why I do not hear what you hear.

Awesome

I found your author's comments to be inspring, as well as the track itself. I really enjoyed listening to this. The synths were really cool and futuristic sounding, and the melodies were beautiful and catchy. Also, thank you for your service to this country. :D

est1913 responds:

Thanks. It is hard at times to make or find time to make music. Heck it can be down right impossible at times. However, this track is coming of it. Might take me some more time to refine the track, want to keep the futuristic feel as well as the melodic harmony I have going.

Thanks for saying my Author Comments were inspiring. I proudly serve in the US Army and have been for 7 years. Which can make for good music and good stories if one is inclined to either.
