Hey guys,
I decided to test out some new things I learned from a friend and remix the heck out of something I've been wanting to do for ages! X-Kaliber 2097! Ring any bells? I didn't think so. XD It's a very obscure game for the SNES from 1994. It has great music by Psykosonik. Those guys also did some music for the Mortal Kombat movies, which I'm pretty sure you can hear from this alone!
Really not much else to say about this one...
Soooooooooooo Enjoy! ^^
PS: Please crank up the volume with this one!
PPS: This song will make you feel really dirty! xD

Nice variations!
I like the mix of different styles, keeping the same feel through the whole song! Your songs are getting better everytime! I really can't wait to do a collab with you in the future! Nice GOA/Psy'ish @ 4:10 XD!
Very awesome work as usual!

Haha thank you Paragon! I think that collab will come out with a really cool song! :D
I can always count on you to pick out the exact style switches I've done XD you're just too good, haha.
Thanks for the review! <333

Yup...
I definitely see this being linked to Mortal Kombat. Too bad this song wasn't actually used in it though. It would have made great battle music, But I vaguely remember a song that that sounds very similar... don't remember what it was.
Haha, it's definitely the style and key it's played in that sounds so similar to MK. Granted I put a small reference to the MK soundtrack in the song and shouldnt be hard to find. ;o
Thanks for the review! <3

Great :)
Oh my, you certainly did it with the whole SNES feel in this piece. Was definitely reminded of oldschool games that I used to play as a kid.
Great to see you experiment with different stuff and have it turn out really well, as this piece shows; testament to how composers and their music grow. This did remind me of your older pieces from 2008, Castle of Tears and its sequel.
Can definitely echo LightRiku though. There isn't much constructive criticism to give when your work is already top notch. Can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Haha nice! I always love hearing that! :D
Castle of Tears was definitely a high point for me, that was pretty much the first solid remix I could feel proud about, it did everything I wanted it to. <3
Thanks for the kind words and continued support, I hope the next song will be even better for you guys. <3

:O!!
It actually looks very Castlevania-esque, looks like a sweet game. Can't say I've ever played it though.
But your music, man... asdahsdajaskasd.
You can compare yourself to other artists all you want, you've got something incredibly unique going on.
I just wish you had more time to pump these out :c
Downloaded, five'd, tenstar'd, love it, need it, want moar! <3
It really is! Though it's really just a hack-'n-slash with a boss every stage, but the style is what drew me to it when I first played it (then, the music lol).
And thank you! <3
You will get moarrr in the near future don't worry! :D

Awesome
Going through my favorite Newgrounds composers, I find that every single one writes music of the same style with a signature mix of sounds and moods that gets infuriatingly repetitive after listening to 10 or 20 of their songs. With this, you break that tradition while still keeping that "NemesisTheory" sound we all know and love.
Now for details. I personally disagree with LightRiku about the section from 2:07 to 2:31. It may have a slightly different feel from the rest of the song, but it is a refreshing break in what may have otherwise ended up being way too repetitive. In my opinion, it allows the listener to take a few breaths in preparation to a smashing finish...
About that "smashing finish." The end of the song seems too depressing and clean when compared to the rest of the song (which did indeed have the effect of "making you feel really dirty" xD). For a song like this one, one would expect something along the lines of a climatic finale rather than a cooldown. I'm not sure if you chose to end like you did because of the original song or simply because you liked it that way, but that's just my take on it.
haha, I am a victim of changing up my style every so often, it gets kind of boring doing the same thing over and over but that's just for me personally XD
I'm happy you liked that part, as I said in other reviews it was pretty risky and not something I'd done before (let alone in a remix that's supposed to be 'serious'). The end style was chosen to reflect the original and the title and author of the original soundtrack (psy-), I'd also never really taken on GOA/Psy before and thought it would fit pretty well for an ending! You're right though, a better climax maybe would've been better, but I'll save that for a next remix. :p
Thanks for the review! <3
