Here is a piano/electronic arrangement of the stage BGM Mushroom Hill Zone Act 1 from the 1994 Sega Genesis video game, Sonic & Knuckles.

This is a collaboration between me and John Weeks.

MIDI Sequenced by John Weeks. Piano arrangement by Dr. Mack Foxx.

MIDI modified and used with permission. Please note: I do have written permission to post this from John Weeks.

Awesome

I love Knuckles...I love playing Sonic&Knuckles, the downside is that my game "hiccups" then it suddenly takes me back to the menu, making me play the level over again. I don't get a chance to appreciate the music whilst mastering a level. The price to pay for this type of atari lol.
Anywho, great job once again! :D

Intriguing. A pity the game crashes so much on your system. That's rather bizarre.

Great to hear you enjoyed this song quite a bit and thank you very much for the excellent review! :)

Ah, Mushroom Hill

I always liked this level. I tend to like the first level of any Sonic game though. Perhaps it's just that I'm so familiar with them. Every time you play through, you at least get this far. Probably for the same reason, I always love the music from the first zones. But Mushroom Hill in particular I always loved. So relaxing and laid back. Not the most nostalgic, perhaps, but it's easily one of my favorites. I love your style of remixing the Sonic games' music, so it was nice to hear one of my favorites remixed in your style. I feel like it works especially well for this stage's music.

Not every Christmas I get a review as a present! :laughs:

All joking aside, I rather enjoyed the laid-back feel of Mushroom Hill Zone, too. Things in Sonic & Knuckles only seem to get much more frantic rather quickly with Flying Battery Zone, Sandopolis Zone and beyond! I'm very glad you enjoyed the collab between John Weeks and me. :)

Thank you so much for this excellent review! It is greatly appreciated.

Mushroom Hill Act 1

I prefer A2, but hey, A1 is still a nice catchy tune. And you really did a good job of recapturing the essence of the song. Kudos to you.

I would agree that the differences between the songs of the two Acts of Mushroom Hill Zone are few, but I thought there were enough differences to warrant redoing and posting both tracks. I also tried to give them each a somewhat different feel. At any rate, thanks for the great vote and great review! :)
