This is a compilation of some of my favorite music from EarthBound (Mother 2). I hope that you - like me - have had the opportunity to play and enjoy this wonderfully quirky and original game series that was written, directed, and produced by Shigesato Itoi. If not, then I highly recommend checking it out...especially if you're into old-school retro gaming! Well, if you can dig up an old Super NES, that is...

Anyway, this game game out in the mid-90s, and I think I did this remix sometime just beyond the turn of the century/millennium, so...it's kind of old. But it's totally classic and a cult favorite, like the game itself. I hope that somebody out there likes it. There are bound to be some EarthBound/Mother fans out there in Newgrounds Land, right? Right. Listen, vote, review, etc. Thanks!

a nice piece

but not what i think of when i hear the word funk, too me if thats what you were trying to do it was just too... well.... peppy

ChronoNomad responds:

The Funk pretty much lies in that funky bassline. I could have called it just about anything, but for some reason "EarthBound Funk" just sounded awesome. :D

Sigh

So many games you're making me want to go get, so little time.

ChronoNomad responds:

I can be very persuasive. Seriously, though...I highly suggest checking out EarthBound (known as Mother 2 in Japan) if you ever get the chance. There are always game emulators and ROMs...
