Excellent

An excellent piece. The power and feeling was wonderful... I was definately feeling something... i'm just no sure what.

One of the things MaestroSorrow is amazing at is invoking images in your mind. I think only the truly great songs do that and all though this one is definatley doing that... they are kind of scrambled.

I wish I could give some constructive criticism on how to envoke this imagery in your listeners... but I cannot do it myself but I'd highly reccomend talking to Maestro about it.

It may be pure genius talent for him, or he may have genius effort ;) I continue to strive to get there, but not sure I ever will...

Your closer than I ever was so keep it up! This was really good, far better than anything i'v ever done.

My take on this was there were two men, in the beginning they meet up on a hill. The harpsichord is them just walking together, the sun setting slowly over the hill.

They meet in the middle and make an oath... not sure exactly what but this is when I felt the strings come in. They then leave later on and finally in the end they are in a war.

Perhaps on opposing side? Perhaps on the same? I'm not sure but in the end I got the feeling one or both of them died.

Bleh... I didn't do so good on this review.. it's kinda all over the place with no real criticism >_>

Sorry lol.

L_H_W - The Oath

First Impression; "Metallica cover?"
One note later; "Nope".
Ok, The harpsichord melody is pretty decent overall, but I kept wishing for evolvement until the flute came in with a counter melody.
The backing of the harpsichord was really great along with the flute. The cello/contrabass also works pretty fine.

I like your legato strings, the melody was well thought of, and fits the theme.
You have several moods in this song, making it very diverse in that context, I liked your percussional works as well.

The organ was a nice touch, but I wished for it to help another buildup--Instead of just fading out.
Overally, It was original, diverse and clear.
I also see alot of effort, but it didn't have this enormous power I seek in the best songs.
It's among my favorites here at NG from now on, but you can still develop.

Damn man.

I'd ask if you'd want to do a collab sometime...but I really have nothing to offer you that you aren't already awesome at.
So cool tune. It doesn't make me think of Zelda, but more of a piece that could fit in a CONAN movie or something. Anyways man, you rock. And, love your response to the last reviewer. Made me laugh.\m/

Love-Hate-War responds:
