Nothing Really Special ft. Smurfbeatz

Pretty exited about this. Smurfbeatz created a great beat that inspired me to write this one and get it finished up all in one night.
Check out more from him at: http://smurfbeatz.newgrou nds.com/

Enjoy and, as always, please let me know what you think.

Lyrics:

Nothing Really Special

Keep repeating through my head like your ring-back tone.
Keep reoccurring in my bed like the amnesia I'm on.
You keep on knocking at my door knowing that I'm not home.
You won't stop trampling my mind when you get me alone.

And you know, geneva code, you shouldn't put me in jail,
And you shouldn't make me complement a mac-and-cheese crayola.
Ebola, your shoulder, a boulder up in a tree,
That's how I know, you were nothing really special to me

The first day was bitter-fly, I was missing my wing.
The second time around your eyes made me want to keep rhyme-
Ing. The man inside the truck, the music he'd play
Over and over, everyday, 'til everybody would scream.

A chilly afternoon breeze
Meanders through the trees,
Pretending to be playful but she's stealing all the leaves.

Whistles as she gives them to the ground and just leaves.
A lovely little pistol, premonition of a missile.

Ashes become ashes, and we're ashes between.
Don't do anything to ashes but the ashes we mean.
I lost the key and stripped the screw to the passion it seems,
So now I'll grab an axe and find the hidden ashes in me.

Inferno burns a small child locked in a sneaker factory.
Space captures all his cries, flames evaporate his dreams.
He doesn't ask god why, the last thought that that he bleeds
Is that he knows you were nothing really special.

CHORUS
A watchmakers tool snaps.
Infant in a pool
Can fight to stay afloat, but won't.
You know just where the mule's at

Circle is the basic, there's only one side.
Find the line, divide the dime, and go to where the fuel's at.

Mislabeled medicine.
Suicidal reticent.
Country full of rebels who resent and kill the president.

Keeping all the truth tapped,
Bud in each ear.
Fearing all the things you thought you didn't want to hear.

Day three, thinner meat, winter sleet.
She selects the winner and the prize, I get to eat.
Naturally complaisant to the mouths that she feeds,
But, over and over, flourishing punishment for creed.

A quicksilver beach,
A man who wants to teach:
She sands them down for long enough and all they do is leach.

Increasing anesthe-
Sia's, hearing all my pleas.
Never use a suture. Her theory is the future.

Ashes become ashes, and we're ashes between.
Don't do anything to ashes but the ashes we mean.
I lost the key and stripped the screw to the passion it seems,
So now I'll grab an axe and find the hidden ashes in me.

A woman sits and knits some mittens that the children don't need.
Rocking, forward, back, beside a ball of mangled dreams.
Shattered mind can't even focus on her tangled things,
She just repeats that you were nothing really special.

CHORUS

A soot-faced man;
A job he needs.
"Chimney sweeper wanted" - what the home-front reads.
Elements of pressure - what the cold-front breathes.
Throwing out the anchor to the storm he sees.

He wakes up in the rye, skin itchy from the fleece.
He walks along the water, rippled truth he frees.
The earth becomes the sky and the world's at peace,
And she agrees with it was nothing really special to me.

CHORUS

Stop trampling my mind when you get me alone.
Stop reoccurring in my bed like the amnesia I'm on.
A recent revelation has forced me to believe
That you are nothing really special.

Damn Dude...

It's one thing to have some solid rhymes (which you seem to manage well), but it's a whole other thing when you fit them lyrically into a tight rhythm (like speaking rhythm, not just to the backing track). I can respect you as a rapper because you pretty much killed it here...in a good way of course. You also have a nice tambour to your speaking voice, which always helps :]

Keep it up man!
