Act 1: "Factions"
In Act 1, we have three parts again: The Hunt For The Heralds, Alliances and Gods Of Ages Past. Annihilus hunts down the former Heralds of Galactus to turn into his war slaves, as he is aware of their immense Power Cosmic. He hopes to eventually enslave Galactus himself. Meanwhile, Thanos the Titan allies himself willingly with Annihilus. He does this out of amusement more than anything. "To see what will happen." Other alliances are formed to combat the Annihilation Wave. Elsewhere, Galactus the Devourer informs Silver Surfer that the ancient prison first attacked by Annihilus may have released two Proemial Gods: Tenebrous and Aegis, whom he imprisoned when the universe was very young. These two ancient Gods would no doubt have a eons long grudge against the Devourer...

Wow.

You've put an extraordinary amount of effort into this piece.
I can definitely feel the emotion in this. Shifting from sometimes triumphant tutti sections, to deep coarse tones from the bass section, then to sad minor accompaniment to the sweet melody flowing throughout on the higher strings.

Love the change of pace in the second movement! Definitely portrayed a sinistral idea in this part, a plot to annihilate?

Again shifting into the triumphant sound in the last movement again.
Although still clinging to a mild remorse for friends or allies lost.

The deep drums ringing throughout the piece give it an overall medieval feel, definitely sounds like an A class movie score. 10/10 from me.
Well done.

Whoa...

I wasn't expecting to hear a piece as epic as this. You did a good job. I think it would fit well as a movie score. The instruments sound genuine and the mastering is okay. I think it could be better in that area but it's not bad by any means. Honestly sometimes the sound comes off slightly as generic but for the most part I can feel passion in it. And when I feel passion in music that means it was a success. So good job on this. One last thing, the beginning 15 seconds was awesome. I knew I was gonna like it just by hearing the flute.

Thanks for the helpful review! I'm glad you took the time to listen to the whole piece. I will have more to come. There are 5 parts in total, all about 10 minutes each. Overture, Act 1, 2 &3 and Finale. I have finished Overture and Act 1 & 2. Act 2 will be uploaded soon. Don't hesitate to commentate on the other parts when you get the chance. :)

long, but well done

This song is much longer than most posted on NG, however even though it is long, it is a well made song. I was surprised that it was not more repetitve than it was. nicely done 8/10.

OrphenFire responds:

Yeah essentially it's 3 movements, each with its own musical identity. That's why it's so long. But it's a 3 movement "symphony" that functions as a musical motif for a 3 part Act to a narrative concept. The story is the Marvel Comics event "Annihilation" written in 2006. If you get the chance to check it out, it's totally worth it. I liked enough to dedicate my time to writing these concept symphonies dubbed "A Space Opera". There are 4 more parts to this, all approximately 10 minutes long, so stay tuned. By the way, the "Overture" preceding this Act is also on my account. Thanks for the review, friend :)
