I wanted it to be sorta like.. I dunno.. a hyper-tension moment feeling.. I dunno..

another experimental loop that had potential but went nowhere.. but that I like and want to showcase.. maybe I'll make it a full song one day.. probably not.

enjoy my shitty experimentation :P

Boss battle

This is a very nicely composed loop and I do not hear as much of a halt at end. I hear possibly a third of a second clipped on but not much other than that so you did pretty impressive on this once and it was nice to hear. The song sounds like it would make for either a really good prelude to or just be into the boss battle itself.

The synth sounds really nice and has a very basic beat and I also hear a second synth just playing for a feel of sirens going off as the boss begins to come in on you. The bass line is just one note over and over, nice. The drums are lastly still very simple so that is neat.

Overall, good experimental piece.

yes I enjoyed it - I'm actually glad I submitted it since my computer got entirely wiped out :)

Abrasive, but enjoyable!

As much as I liked your Lemmings and Earthworm Jim remixes; any experimentation/original material is appreciated by yours truly. Here's my thoughts...

In terms of instrumentation, nice combination of klaxons and Sega Genesis synth. I think that more people on the Audio Portal should consider mixing chip samples and conventional instruments more often. However, the arrangement/composition can be abrasive at times, but it would make for a great torture method. The only other problem with this is the filesize: one megabyte for a 28 second loop isn't bandwidth/slow connection friendly.

What's good:
-Original
-Something different
-Can be used for torture...

What's bad:
-...due to its abrasive nature, which can be a double-edged sword.
-Why is something this short one megabyte in size?

Overall: Here's a favorable nine from me, Chronamut.

Chronamut responds:

its probably because I export everything at the maximum kbps - you forget the max filesize for an audio submission on newgrounds is actually 15 mb.. there is also a lot going on stereo wise

and I like the abrasiveness of it.. it was originally much more annoying which you can hear here:

Not bad.

A bit repetitive, but still a good piece on it's on, just feels like there could be something else added to this, maybe drums? still 8/10 and 5/5.

Chronamut responds:

loop = repetetive

drums = existant :P

thanks for the review!
