True to it's genre
Now that's a funky beat I can groove to.
Here's my masterpiece again. Now with real-live trumpets and a rotary organ. Hopefully this doesn't get zero-bombed again (knock on wood...). Made exclusively with Audacity Beta, Monkey Machine and my Sennheiser 201's (including as a microphone).
By the way, I realize that the trumpets sound really crappy. Please forgive my lack of a real microphone for the moment. More iterations are in the works as I save money.
I also used a lot of compression/leveling on the overall recording, so some parts are a too distorted. In future versions, I'll probably go back to a real clean setting, or just a touch of mild compression.
Instruments:
Electric Guitar (clean wah)
Electric Guitar (distorted envelope-filter)
Electric Bass
Drum Machine Loop (16-bars)
Yamaha Rotary Organ (fake, of course)
Schilke X3 Trumpet (three parts)
If you've got any suggestions just drop 'em real quick in the review section.
