The Ionic Foot, not to be confused with the Ionian Mode, is a traditional Roman foot, or poetic pattern that deals with the relative stress vowels. It is very similar to music in the way that it represents accents/marcato markings and legato markings. For this piece, I took the Ionic Foot, which consists of the pattern 'long-long-short-short', and applied it to note durations- 'quarter-quarter-eighth-e ighth'. There is also a Minor Ionic Foot which is the inverse- 'short-short-long-long'.

It's a very short song as songs go, but I had some fun and it's a neat theme that I may work on more. Feel free to contact me if you want to work with the song.
