It's still a work in progress so please keep that in mind when reviewing. I'd like as much feedback as possible. Thanks for listening and/or zero bombing!

Good work

It's good, certainly got my attention. My main concern is that around the middle it gets a bit busy, and loses its clarity. Also, the LFO switching is a brilliant idea, but I think it definitely needs MOAR bass to be a proper 'wubstep'. Other than that, it's good.

EricFreeman responds:

Yeah, this was my first attempt at dubstep though. Check out my more recent dubstep songs like WIP or Towelie. They're fare better in terms of melting your face off. :P

This is super shit

Shittiest dubstep I've heard on newgrounds, excluding 'seriously dirty dubstep'. Honestly, learn to use NI massive or something.

5/5
10/10

P.S. this is shit.

I used NI Massive in my song WIP, but I feel like it's cheating when it comes to wobbles. This song does it the real man's way by adding four LP's to the bass at four different LFO speeds and then automating between them, thus creating a huge, messy, headache for me!

Also, glad you hated it.

Yeah, I was thinking that too, but then again this is my first try ever at a dubstep song. I'll try to include one in my second.

I'm also an EQ noob

I just learned allot of cool idea's from NikolaosTheDark.

But basically a decent Wobble is made of 3 oscillators, 2 with Filters one on both oscillators or one on each. And A Separate Oscillator for Subs that sometimes takes no part in the wobble.
If you're using WaspXT, assuming you're using fruityloops, for your wobble.
You set the wobbles to the higher tones and then the sub on a separate oscillator.
Like with DX10 VSTi or something
( I just now noticed you say that in your response to you know who, my bad )

As far as mastering a song, As soon as you think you have it finished you want to go back and listen to the song over through anything from the best stereo you own to the cheap headphones to make sure it's just right.

Makes me feel a bit hypocritical for saying you should do that as I don't always, but it's always a good practice.

EricFreeman responds:

I used sytrus to make all the synths I used in this song, but I understand what you're saying somewhat and I'll have to try that out on a future song.

Hm, I'll try using some crappy earbuds I have lying around the apt; thanks for the tip.

Thanks for listening, and for the advice!
