Near Christmas of 1998, I wanted to create a Christmas remix for VGMusic fans in the spirit of the season. Kakariko Village was a practical source for me and I played with some ideas, such as sleigh bells and bell instruments to accompany beautiful strings. The original MIDI disappeared from VGMusic since, but it made its way onto various MIDI sites over the years.

For this enhancement, my goal was to improve on the sound without damaging the compositional integrity of the classic remix. There is a rustic charm about it that I want others to recognise if they ever heard the old MIDI. Some additions, such as a cello that follows the bassline of the strings ensemble and a flute that follows the melody during the repeat, should accomplish those goals. Merry Christmas!

[NOTE: Many may think that the original MIDI was written by a user named after the Hylian hero, but considerable evidence exists proving that I am the author of the seasonal remix. See example below.
