After hearing a preview of a track by Back-From-Purgatory I was inspired to pick up my guitar and thrash out a solo.

It's got some (a lot) errors but it captures how much I was feeling the tune quite well, and isn't bad for a one shot hit record and go!

Credits and props to the original artist Back-From-Purgatory.

If this is well received I may very well rerecord this and work out some proper lines for the solo though I'm very happy with the pentatonic / harmonic minor approach. The original was on a guitar tuned to D standard and played in G (A position I'm guessing), my approach was to use E standard tuning and play in G which isn't one of my most practiced areas of the guitar but it made for an interesting exercise.

yes sir, I like it.

Pretty nice licks you've got there, but the drums in the background sound extremely out of place. Without them, the piece would sound a lot cleaner, darker and more menacing, I think. Other than that, you would have gotten a 10.

Thanks for the comment and the score!, the track is by another artist and personally I love it but I guess that's just my taste.

I can't wait until she releases the full song maybe I can do a bit more then, with her blessings of course.

Again thank you and I'm very pleased you like it.
