This is a track that I composed for the final fight of the third person shooter Epilogue, a project by students of the Games Academy in Frankfurt (Germany).

This track was supposed to play when encountering a huge mutated raider at the end of the game, while also fighting off swarms of regular enemies. Unfortunately the bossfight remained quite buggy and was replaced by a simple puzzle just before deadline. Meh... -.- So the track ended up not being used in the game (again giving you the chance to be the first one to use it in a project ;)). Personally I'm not very satisfied with it, because it is shorter than I wanted it to be and the last part is rather uninspired stuff because I had no time to finish it before deadline (being informed about the need of such a track just one or two days before the game had to be finished).

If you're interested in a looped version, check out the "music" section of my homepage soon. You may also just send me a message or email.

This is really cool. Has a very Metal Gear Solid vibe to it. Might just be me, though. XD Regardless, this is an impeccable piece and I love the climactic feeling to it.

Thanks. An extended version that I created specifically for Arkuni's Versus Umbra can be found on YouTube (titled Bossfight Redux). And yeah, I think I know what you mean with the MGS thing. It's of course not nearly as good as the MGS soundtracks but I also sometimes get that vibe. :D

:D Omg! :D

this is so amazing, if you made it a loop it would be perfect as the epicness is suddenly gone.

F4LL0UT responds:

Thanks. As mentioned in the comments there already exists a looped version though.

Well done!

I think this needs to be a little bit longer to transition into ending a little bit better, and/or make it so that it could easily loop into itself. I agree with the previous poster about it feeling cut off.

Really puts you in the mood for something epic!

F4LL0UT responds:

Thanks for the review and I agree, but as written in the author comments there already exists a loopable version, I just decided to upload this one to Newgrounds. I think that this impression of the track being "cut off" is the worst thing about it, and in my ears it's not present in the looped version. But yeah, it's probably still too short for a longer fight.

Anyhow: thanks again for the comment. :)

I think its a good battle theme as in your comment section its a shame that it was not longer as it just seems to cut off but still awesome tho

F4LL0UT responds:

Thanks dude. Good to see an honest comment that actually confirms flaws for a change. :D But who knows, maybe I'll improve it someday (I would certainly do so if someone expressed interest in using it in a game or movie that needs a longer version).
