This is my first original song! Amazing what you can do in the space of a day and having never composed a song before.

Anyway, this track, if you ask me, would be fitting as an ambiance for alien ruins or for the ruins of a city or factory that once belonged to an advanced civilization. What secrets will you uncover? What horrors might await in the darkened, metallic depths?

I hope you enjoy my first composition. I respond to all reviews, so feel free to leave one. :)

this is very si-fi

this song would fit perfectly as far as I can think of in a game where you are a mad scientist combining dna can creating new creatures.

I said I'd review your original...

...so here ya go.

Simple, smooth, atmospheric. If you set this up to sound sneaky (as in 'I'mma-spy-in-the-80's-tryin'-to-snea k-ur-national-secrets-lawlz') you hit it on the head.

The soundscape, while a bit lo-fi, fits the mood quite well, especially that bass. Some of the harmonic progressions sound a little foreign (and not in a good way), and the track ultimately is repetitive.

Still, not a bad venture into composition, there. Good luck with future endeavors.

DrMackFoxx responds:

Sneaky-sounding, eh? I guess that fits in well with this track sounding foreboding and dark. I would agree that this composition is kinda repetitive. Just a fairly simple tune, overall (I only used 5 MIDI channels for this).

Thank you very much for another helpful and thorough review. I really appreciate it, especially as I really have a lot to learn about MIDI composing. Glad you enjoyed this tune, as well. :)

nice

*50 years later*

"Right Max, We've arrived at Sanglurt City. Get ready."

Max: "But Jake, I have only 15 of my bullets left. Surely that is not enou-..."
Jake: "Stop! Smell that? Zombies. They must be feeding nearby. *Splutters* Oh, that is horrid. We'll have to-..."
Max: "I see them! About a few gigasplishes away and approaching! About seventeen of them!"
*Jake pulls up two hoverbikes from a ditch*
Jake: "Will this do?"
Max: "Man, you got style!" *Loads his gun*
Jake: "No use telling me. I already know." *Grins and hops on his bike* "Comin'?"
Max: "Lets go then"

Seventeen zombies died.

Ding! "&*%$-Off Crab: the .44 Magnum Pokemon. If you should see one, you will be dead long before you have a chance to realize what you are dealing with."

:laughs: All joking aside, I find your review to be rather fitting considering the kind of scenery that I imagine fits with this song. Thank you very much for leaving a review and I'm very glad that you enjoyed this tune! :)

I hope to craft a battle theme of some kind based on this song sooner or later, just for starters.

I felt like I was in another world...

I felt like I was in another world, and it was just starting. Bacteria crawling around, camera zoomed in on them and playing this music, as it gets bigger then another animal destroys it...
