This is a piano arrangement of the BGM from the stage "Emerald Hill Zone" from the video game Sonic 2. This is a collaboration between me and John Weeks.

MIDI Sequenced by John Weeks. Piano arrangement by Dr. Mack Foxx.

MIDI modified and used with permission. Please note: I do have written permission to post this from John Weeks.

I reply to all reviews so feel free to leave one. :)

I was able to click the Five "Respect" icon... However, that still doesn't satisfy me to judge your work.. now a review for you and me. It is for you, for your beautiful work. :) And it is for me so I can finally give you the 10/10. Thank you very much sir.

DrMackFoxx responds:

Well, I really cannot take all the credit for this song as it was a collaboration between me and a very talented MIDI composer named John Weeks. He sequenced the original MIDI file, which I modified only with his written permission to create this piano/electronic arrangement of Emerald Hill Zone. I also got permission to post this among my other "Sonic Piano" creations. However, getting to work with him also did help me learn how to compose my own music as well. :)

At any rate, thank you very much for this excellent review and I'm very glad that you enjoyed this tune so much! :)

This is great!

Re doing a song as well known as this can be tricky, but you definitely pulled it off and then some! It deserves to be listed in the best!

Well, this is rather encouraging for me. I'm glad you enjoyed this collaboration made by John Weeks and me. :) Thank you very much for the review! I really appreciate it! :)

Pretty ok

Would be better on real instruments, or better programmed ones but still ok

Well, glad you still liked this song and the review is appreciated. :)

For a guy with a 7-year old computer and $60 total for MIDI software and software synthesizers, I think it is safe to say that having real musicians playing this song with real instruments or having professional-grade equipment at my disposal are just a bit out of my reach. ^_^;

I also think it is safe to say that this track's rise to the Top 30 last week was more of a fluke and not due to this song being very popular.

Not too shabby!

Nothing too big really but at the same time it's a decent cover. Good job!

DrMackFoxx responds:

Yeah. I would have to say this collab is not among mine and John Weeks' best, let alone the best that the Audio Portal has to offer. Seems more like a fluke and not due to popularity that this track wound up among the Top 30, ranked at #21 on January 12, 2011.

At any rate, thank you for the review and I'm glad you liked this tune. :)
