This is a piano arrangement of the BGM from the stage "Carnival Night Zone Act 1" from the video game Sonic 3. This is a collaboration between me and John Weeks.
Please Note: Since I don't have a software synthesizer that can replicate certain sounds from the Sega Genesis, I used cymbals and synth drums in place of the glass-shattering and crashes that are heard here and there in the original song.

Nostalgia
This level was fun and frustrating, but mostly frustrating, always loved the music. This makes it seem more like a real carnival which I love.
Yeah. 'Twas a rather frustrating level, indeed. ^_^; I have to agree that this cover seems more whimsical than the original. Of course, this is also one of my favorite remade tracks, too. Great to hear that you really liked this song. :) Thanks a lot for yet another excellent review, too!

Fun, upbeat, got to love it!
I've been looking up a lot of old sonic tunes recently and this is one of the best remixes I've come across. Absolutely fantastic!
Oddly enough, this is one of my favorite of these remade tracks. Awesome that you rank this song among your top favorites! Thank you very much for another excellent review, as well! :)

Ah. I never have played the PC version of Sonic 3. I just checked out that track on another site: amazing how different the Genesis and PC versions are of this track.

Memories
Reminds me of the hours spent trying to figure out that barrel of doom in act 2
Oh, yeah... Act 2 of Carnival Night Zone was the only reason I rage-quit on Sonic 2. ^_^; It took several years until I finally found the answer whilst browsing the Net. Now I just have to figure out how to get through the stage fast enough to have enough time to get rid of that annoying boss.
