After completion, I swore that this would be my last Blake Reary remix. I'm trying to see if I can make this my last remix from a writer's block, period.
The concept of the song had actually been in my head for months. Only during the weeks leading up to the release did the concept actually become a reality.
This was also the last track in which, with the bassline, I used composition to dodge the kick drum instead of sidechaining. It's still a nice sub bass, though. I don't think I've ever put together a bass quite as good as this one.

Afterthoughts:
I'M HALF-WAY DONE! Two songs of my project are completed and mastered. I just need to finish the third one, and then add the vocal samples. After that, I can focus on my more leisurely works. It's rather nice to spend time away from those projects, anyway -- letting them stew on my hard drive will probably result in more vivid and effective ideas when I finally get back to them.
As for this remix...I wish I could apply this level of "trance power" to my compositions. I mean, I'm REALLY proud of this remix. As far as floor filling sounds are concerned, I nailed this song on the head.

I can see why you are so proud of this! And maybe it's because of the quality on here and not the high quality, but I think at some parts the bass is a bit too prominent, like dominating the overall feel just a tad, but thats my ear's. For the record, I think it's incredibly epic. It's very versitile music, and I love it! ^_^

The bass will probably be overdone to some, and it is unusually prominent compared to my other trance/progressive works. A driving bass compared to one that sits back and chills with the rest of the frequencies....It's a tough decision.

I really like your synths that you used, and the chord sequence. I made a mix of this song too, but I haven't posted it yet. Plus it's not nearly as good as this one. I think I have the same program that you used to make this. So why aren't I that good? I especially like the beginning and how it's so liquid techno-trance. I can usually think up mixes like this but I can't really make them.
I think Blake Reary songs sound great when remixed like this.
