I can't say where the inspiration for this song came from, all I can say is that I just did it, and I liked it, so I'm posting it. It is a bit repetitive, but most hip-hop tracks are, it's better for people to put lyrics together to it that way. I actually just named the track itself "Ol' Skool" but with names on here you always have to add something if someone else has already taken it. So I put "Renewal" at the end, figuring that it would fit in place. Tell me what you think?

That's actually the one I usually end up getting starting with this one for some reason. Thanks for reviewing, glad you liked it.

Me digs

This is a cool track, def a happy one. I like the odd assortment of styles/vibes, it's unique.

SSJDre responds:

Thank you. I would consider this to be one of my more successfully executed songs. I know this is going to sound odd, but you may understand me if you've played the game, but does the opening of this song remind you of Bomberman?

xD...

This track is very happy! I actually think the term renewal fits it well. A lot of the sounds are pretty retro, and there were some parts that were straight old school. Then there were also parts where the old school vibe takes a seat and some future shock stuff kinda comes in :)

Like straight up, 1:03 - 1:20 is some retro sounding shit! I love it.

SSJDre responds:

Thanks, I was hoping for that blended feel, but it's more old than anything else, so it's great for me to know that I captured it the right way. I really didn't get into making tracks until this year, in August, though I had a song posted here back in December of last year. It seems I'm getting better at creating the feelings I want, rather than just making a good sounding track.
