This is a piano arrangement of the BGM from the stage "Marble Zone" from the video game Sonic the Hedgehog. This is a collaboration between me and John Weeks.

MIDI Sequenced by John Weeks. Piano arrangement by Dr. Mack Foxx.

MIDI modified and used with permission. Please note: I do have written permission to post this from John Weeks.

I reply to all reviews so feel free to leave one. :)

This is a good arrangement, but some of some of the noted are WAY off in the song. It's still good, but nowhere near perfect.

DrMackFoxx responds:

Not the first time someone has mentioned some notes being off. It could be that I used the wrong instrument for the lead as the Bright Piano MIDI instrument I used in this track is a bit detuned. Oddly enough, despite these errors, this song ended up in the Best Tracks Ever section, back when it still existed in the Audio Portal, ranked at #23 based on score alone for one week. Strange, isn't it? ^_^;

At any rate, thank you for the review. :)

yes, this is the thing

the original was really good, the one made by John Weeks is better (i haven't heard it but that's why i use my brain to think ;) and finally the one modified by you is just perfect, piano fits this track almost as good as i fit in my own shoes

I always thought that Marble Zone had a much slower pace to it: making clearing it seem more annoying than other zones. But I agree: a great tune and a good zone, nonetheless.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave another review and I'm glad you enjoyed this song! :)

Nicely Done.

Your dedication to Sonic keeps me coming back and scoping your back catalogue. As far as the various Zone musics from the first 3 Sonics, Marble Zone was always my favorite. So I am being slightly critical here.

I agree with the guy below me. I used to use 6 seconds of this song as my intro music on YouTube starting at 0:32. It does sound just a little off here. Overall, nice job. Thanks for not butchering my favorite zone song like I've heard from other people all over the internet.

PS Being somewhat of a noob here, I didn't know that I don't get any kind of alerts when the author responds to my reviews. I'll have to see if I can alter that in my settings (Im still a noob, after all) Had I seen your response to one of my earlier reviews, I'd have let you know that, at least in my clique on YT, "Yanking" means "Downloading."

Keep up the great work.

I would have to say that this arrangement is definitely is not one of my most successful. I'm glad you still enjoyed this track, though. :)

As for notifications on Newgrounds, you don't get any information about when your favorite authors or musicians submit new content or reply to your reviews. I kinda wish some of those things would happen. For starters, it would mean that fans of my music would know a lot sooner when I post new tracks without me having to send out private messages to everyone who has left a review, added one of my tracks to their Favorites or has added me to their favorite audio artists. Oh, well. :shrugs shoulders:

At any rate, thank you very much for leaving another review. I really appreciate it. :)

Nice

Awesome!!! Just for a heads up the key at 0:26 and 1:03 is off. If you used a G sharp instead of a G flat it would sound a lot better. Other than that, it's awesome!!!

Hmmmm... That's a very good suggestion. I may have to try that. Thank you very much for the tip and the great review! I'm glad you liked this song. :)
